Can anyone remember the name of the crew hotel we used in Lagos after we left the Echo. I remember the rooms were carpeted from floor to ceiling and there was so much furniture in them you could not move.
Great beans on toast, Star beer, And apart from the giant cockroaches. Everyone seemed to like going there. But best of all was the cheese and pickle sandwiches when you were leaving.

wasn't it the Lagos Hilton - Your Home Away from Home? God I remember those cockroaches. Carpet all over the back of the bed head with a built in stereo?

That was it Jean. Was it owned by the same lot as the Sunspot in Accra?

I had forgotten the 'Home away from home' bit. What a good memory!
I believe some crew members found very odd things under beds in that place. Yuch!!
